We had our chimney repaired and repointed by CTA. CTA showed up on the day they said they would and were very respectful of our home and property. They took great care in selecting brick that would match the remaining brick (despite the fact that it was likely over 20 years old) and they added additional, longer flumes to the top of the chimney so that it would last longer than the previous construction. They stayed committed to finishing the job and they even picked up after themselves when the job was done, which was quite refreshing. CTA even went to far as to spray out our gutters and spray off the windows so that there was no trace of dust and grout. We were pleasantly surprised with the results and highly recommend them for similar chimney work.
I contacted CTA and another company(whose name I’d rather NOT mention!)a couple of months ago about repairing and most possibly replacing my brick front stairs. Bob and his associates came to my house and gave me an estimate to replace the brick stairs with granite topped brick stairs with a brick landing imitating the herringbone pattern on our walkway, I talked to my wife that night when she got home and agreed to have them do the job.That was in Sept. now in Nov. I called them to see if it was too late to do the job now they said they could start the following Wed., when Bob came the following Mon. with the contract for me to sign at which time I gave him a check for 1/2 the cost as a downpayment he actually asked if they could start the job THAT afternoon! When they were about 3 days into the job they discovered that the 4 posts were rotted at the base and should be replaced, so thier expert carpenter came and estimated the cost to replace and I agreed and signed an adjusted contract(I also asked if they would be willing to put a tarp on my garage roof for me because it leaks and I am planning to have a new roof put on in the spring…which they did…and THAT convinced me to have THEM do it!)NOW the job is complete and I just want to EMPHASIZE to all future possible clients of CTA Trade Associates…they ALL are the BEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH! If you need ANYTHING done that they do…give them the oppurtunity to prove it…I DID…you won’t regret it!

My husband and I are very happy we chose CTA Trades to do some masonry work for us. We had estimates from a number of companies recommended on Angie’s List™, but we found CTA Trades to give us the best estimate, as well as the most timely response to our request. The owner and his assistant were very courteous and prompt, and careful to take care of our yard as they replaced our cellar bulkhead door, raised the concrete foundation for it, and constructed an additional concrete barrier to prevent water from entering the area under our back porch. They completed the job very quickly, and cleaned up the whole work area very nicely. I was impressed with their professionalism, as well as their extensive list of construction skills. I will definitely consider them for more work on our house in the future,.

Typically, I would not write a testimonial. I’m writing one now to share that my experience w/ CTA Trades was exceptional. The quality of their work is remarkable. But also, they are punctual, reliable and a pleasure to interact with. I actually felt sad when the work was completed and they packed up to leave. I continue to look for projects to bring them back! They are craftsman and are of high character. Don’t hesitate — call them!

CTA Trades were recommended to us when we were looking for someone to replace the front brick stairs on our 1939 home. Their estimate was competitive and they went out of their way to visit at times convenient to us to establish our requirements. They showed up promptly and did a great job on the stairs. When we saw that the new stairs did not go well with the existing brick pathway, they quickly relaid the path at a reasonable price. They showed us that the chimney needed some repointing and we had them do that as well. Throughout the projects, CTA made sure that we were pleased with the work and we would recommend them highly.
When I first met Mr. Silva, I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and pleasant manner. Not only did he explain every detail of the job, he started EMITIATLY, and had his crew work over-time to meet my needs. The re-point of the brick brought the house to a different level. To my satisfaction, CTA also replaced three porches, showing and explaining to me every detail, every step of the way. I appreciated being informed about my building and what was being done to it. The entrance brick-marble stair was created in place of a wooden stair case, upgrading the look and value of the home. Being that I was pleased with CTA’s quality of work, I decided to replace the roof. Before doing so, CTA removed the existing roof completely. They did a much better job than the previous roofers. If you are looking for a quality, headache free, no delay job, and a contractor that answers calls personally, Roberto Silva is your man.
CTA just completed extensive masonry work on the bricks on the outside of our 100+ year condominium. I have to saw that the professionalism, reliability, communication about the work and the work itself were well beyond my expectations. Will definitely call on CTA in the future when work is needed!
